Two years ago I had Precision replace the two-car garage door opener at my house with a new, belt-driven, top-of-the-line system with camera, wifi connectivity and all the bells and whistles. Everything included, I paid around $700, which I found very reasonable. When the tenant at my rental property called the other day to tell me that her one-car garage door was not working, it was a no-brainer. I called Precision and scheduled a technician to go take a look. After a few minutes, the tech gave me three options: replacing the system for $1,300, replacing some parts for $1,200, or installing a conversion kit for $624. I understand that prices today are not the prices of two years ago but I have the distinct feeling that I overpaid. The entire job took less than 45 minutes.

I had a gentleman show up about a year ago to give me an estimate which he did and I thought it was a fair estimate and he said that they would order the parts that they needed and it would be a couple weeks and someone would be back in contact and someone would be out to fix it To date I have not heard back from anyone and I’ve called twice to check and they knew nothing about it so my garage door still hasn’t been fixed so I feel not a very reliable company!

I had a spring break on my 40 year old garage door, so I had to have it repaired. I contacted Precision garage door service, and they sent Andrew to the rescue. He looked at it, gave me an estimate, and I gave him the okay to proceed. He thought it would be a 2 or 3 hour job. After he got into it, he started finding a lot of issues caused by decades of use and neglect. He disassembled , cleaned, and lubricated every bearing , adjusted the door tracks to get them properly aligned. Adjusted the closer because it was out of alignment. After putting it all back together , he decided that the standard springs he'd installed just weren't strong enough. It opened and closed just fine , but because my door was so old, it's made out of much heavier materials than modern doors. So he decided to swap out the standard springs for a much heavier spring. So it'll be a lot less wear on my opener. I'm shocked at how quiet the door operates now. Andrew went over routine maintenance stuff that I can do myself to keep everything up to par. I couldn't be happier with everything. Even though it took him a lot of extra time to get things perfect, he honored his original quote. And he did it on a 5 degree miserable day with a smile on his face the whole time.

I had had a Precision technician out to check on my garage door some time ago and I don't recall what the problem was anymore but I know he didn't charge me and ended up oiling the rollers and making sure the door was working well. This time the door was tripping a gfr button and the technician advised me to get the door up-graded to standard, which meant installing a second roller, plus some other changes. He completed the work in a short time and the door is so much quieter and works well now.

Daren, the Technician, called about 10 minutes prior to arrival. The door was operating properly when he arrived, but he noticed an installation problem with the wiring quickly. He suspects this could be causing the problems. He corrected this on both doors.

Isaac was very professional, clean and expedient. I did notice after he completed the repair and I closed the door that the very last cycle seems like the arm that attaches to the track was very upright and seems like the last couple of inches forced a surge of down force. I seem to remember that arm having a bit more angle. May need an adjustment? Again though, overall very happy to have peace of mind from a professionally serviced door! Thank you
